Child Safety Devices
We live in a dangerous world where anything can happen to your child at any given time. While there is a lot of worthwhile information on the internet on child protection, there is very little on the effectiveness of child protection products such as alarm backpacks or remote monitors . Much of the information is centered around keeping up to date photographs, fingerprints, etc. This is very important information, however this is only helpful after the fact. That is, something has already happened to your child and it does not help you keep them safe in the first place. There is much information on talking to your children and teaching them to avoid dangerous situations. While this is certainly invaluable advice, we believe that these efforts need to be combined with child safety devices. Why? Simple, a child may confront a dangerous situation where they may need that little extra something which will easily bring the attention of someone who can help. The more protection your child has, the better their odds are of avoiding danger. It may even be as simple as evading a school yard bully. These can also help in bringing help should your child experience a medical emergency. Did you know that every year 1 in 5 children has a medical emergency that requires a visit to the Emergency Room? Of course, this is not the only way your child can benefit from such protection devices. We have all seen it on TV, a mother turns away for just a second and just like that, her little one is gone! This may have even happened to you for a moment or tow at a store, mall, park, etc. Wouldn't you want to be notified any time your child inadvertently strays from you at such crowded places? Well, a remote monitor or also known as an electronic leashes can do exactly that. For under $30, these devices can bring peace of mind and drastically decrease your chances of loosing your child.
Sadly, there are approximately 800,000 children reported missing every single year. It is believed that approximately 4,000 of those missing children are abducted by strangers. While this is a relatively low number in comparison to the child population, what if that was your child! Did you know that nearly half of those 800,000 are involuntarily lost by their parent or guardian? The majority of these children are under 7 while 2 year olds are at greatest risk. Another shocking statistic is that 3 out of 4 parents/guardians has momentarily lost their child for an average time of 1 to 4 hours. That is approximately 70%! Can you imagine losing your child for 4 hours! With startling statistics like this, investing a few dollars in one of these devices can go a long way in bringing peace of mind to parents and most importantly added safety to your child.
